We Power Life: Entergy's First Century (2015)

The relationship between an electric utility and its customers depends largely on trust, on whether customers feel that the company is charging them a fair price for power and service and is there for them during major outages. We Power Life opens with the heroic efforts of employees of Entergy Corporation to get the power back on in the wake of hurricanes Katrina and Rita on the Gulf Coast in 2005. It goes on to tell the story of the founding and growth of New Orleans-based Entergy and the trusted service it has provided to millions of customers in four Gulf states—motivated by the idea of “people taking care of people”—since the early 1900s.
